How a live virtual class works

No app, no login, no equipment shipped. Just your video call and a bit of space.

  1. 1

You pick a class and a time

Book about 2 weeks ahead. A lunch hour or the last hour of a Friday works well.
  2. 2

    Send the link

Zoom by default; Teams, Google Meet or Webex on request. Tell people what to have ready.
  3. 3

    A live instructor leads

The instructor teaches the whole group in real time and talks everyone through each part.
  4. 4

Everyone goes at their own pace

Encourage people to skip any move that doesn't suit them and keep cameras optional.

What to have ready

Put this line in the invite so nobody joins in work shoes.

  • Yoga: a yoga mat
  • Workout and dance classes: comfortable shoes and clothes you can move in, plus a little floor space
  • Meditation and sound meditation: a quiet spot and headphones if you have them
  • Healthy Eating and Sleep Strategies: something to take notes with

These are fitness, relaxation and educational sessions, not medical advice. Anyone with an injury or health condition should check with their doctor first.

A monthly wellness series you can copy

Same day, same time, a different class each month. It alternates calm, active and learning sessions so nobody gets bored.

Workplace wellness ideas that people use

Employee wellness programs don't need a platform or a big budget. They need regular, optional moments people look forward to.

  • A one-off class

The easiest start. Put one class on the calendar for a wellbeing day or a team offsite.

  • A monthly series

Same day, same time, a different class each month. Regular slots are what build attendance.

  • A wellness challenge

Steps, water or sleep goals over a few weeks, with a live class to open or close it. Ideas in 30 workplace wellness challenges.

Free wellness activities to run yourself

Small habits that cost nothing and work for remote teams too.

  • A five-minute stretch break at the start of a long meeting
  • Walking 1:1s: any call that doesn't need a screen, taken outside
  • A no-meeting hour each week for lunch away from the desk
  • A shared playlist for focus time
  • A team step count, ranked by average so team size doesn't matter
  • A Friday gratitude thread in Slack or Teams
  • A healthy recipe swap in a shared doc

Want an instructor to lead it? Book a live class. More ideas in workplace wellness challenges.

Virtual wellness questions

What are virtual wellness activities?

Live classes and talks your team joins on a video call: yoga, meditation, sound meditation, dance fitness, barre, HIIT and strength workouts, plus sessions on healthy eating and sleep. An instructor leads in real time, so it works for remote, office and hybrid teams.

How much do virtual yoga and wellness classes cost?

Each class has one price for the group, shown on its page. Yoga is from $479; Meditation is from $479; Beatz is $479 flat; Healthy Eating is $1,600 flat. Yoga and Meditation have a second price for big groups. You see the full price before you book, and a 50% deposit holds the date.

What do employees need for a virtual wellness class?

A laptop or tablet with the video link, and for yoga a mat. Workout and dance classes need comfortable shoes, clothes to move in and a little floor space. Meditation works best somewhere quiet, ideally with headphones.

What is a good employee wellness program?

One people actually use. Regular slots beat one big event: a monthly class at the same time, a short wellness challenge a couple of times a year, and a mental health session around May or October. Ask people what they want and keep everything optional.

Are the classes suitable for beginners?

Yes, they are built for mixed groups. Hiit Happens offers modifications for every fitness level and Flex Appeal is designed to feel accessible. Tell people to go at their own pace and skip anything that doesn't suit them.

Are these classes medical advice or therapy?

No. They are fitness, relaxation and educational sessions, not medical care. Anyone with a health condition or injury should check with their doctor before exercising.

Can we run a wellness class every month?

Yes. Pick a regular slot and rotate classes; the 12-month series on this page is a good start. For a year planned and booked in one go, see our annual wellness program.

Which video platforms do you use?

Zoom by default; Microsoft Teams, Google Meet or Webex on request. Book about 2 weeks ahead.
