How to plan 2027 with this calendar
Most teams don't need more events; they need the right four, booked early. Six steps turn this list into a plan.
- Pick one anchor event per quarter. A heritage month in Q1, a spring or wellness moment in Q2, a back-to-work kickoff in Q3 and the holiday party in Q4. Four good events beat twelve rushed ones.
- Fill the gaps with small gestures. Fun days and awareness days are for a 15-minute game, a kudos thread or a team lunch, not a budget line.
- Work back from lead times. Hosted games need about 2 weeks' notice, kit-based workshops 3 weeks (3 to 4 for international teams), and custom branding or questions 4 weeks.
- Plan heritage months with the people they honor. Ask your employee resource groups early, give them a budget, and pay outside speakers.
- Check the holiday column before booking. Avoid big events on major religious holidays (Rosh Hashanah, Yom Kippur, Eid, Diwali, Good Friday) and avoid lunch events during Ramadan.
- Share the calendar with managers in January. Tick the dates that matter for your company above, download the .ics and send it out, so nobody books an offsite on Thanksgiving week.
