Virtual tasting events for teams

A virtual tasting event ships a tasting kit to every guest, and a live expert leads an hour on video: a sommelier-led wine tasting, coffee, tea, bubble tea, a charcuterie board or cocktails. Wine and cocktail kits need an adult to sign; coffee, tea and bubble tea are alcohol-free and ship outside the US.

Wine, led by a sommelier

The classic tasting, with an expert leading every pour. An evening slot suits it best.

Alcohol-free tastings

Coffee, tea and bubble tea. Right for a morning call, a team that doesn't drink, or guests outside the US.

Make it, then taste it

A board or a round of cocktails, built live with the host. More hands-on than a pour-and-sip.

Compare the tastings

What guests taste, whether there is alcohol, what they need at home and where the kit ships.

Alcohol, 21+ and guests who don't drink

The rules buyers ask about first, as each kit's product page states them.

  • Every kit with alcohol needs an adult (21+) to sign for it at delivery.
  • Wine, the cocktail trio and the cocktail duo all have a non-alcoholic kit for anyone who wants one.
  • Wine can't ship to Delaware, Utah, Mississippi, Rhode Island, South Dakota, Virginia and Arkansas; guests there get a non-alcoholic kit.
  • Outside the continental US, cocktail kits go without the alcohol, for the shipping add-on.
  • Coffee, tea and bubble tea have no alcohol at all, so they fit a company that keeps events dry.

Match the tasting to the time slot

  • Morning in the US: Coffee. 11 am Eastern is 4 pm in London, so a team on both sides can join.
  • Mid-afternoon: Tea or bubble tea. A real break in the day, and nothing to sign for.
  • End of the day: Wine, cocktails or charcuterie. 5 pm Eastern is 2 pm Pacific.
  • Friday wind-down: The 45-minute cocktail duo, so people still log off on time.

Virtual tasting questions

What is a virtual tasting event?

A live, hosted hour on a video call where every guest tastes the same thing from a kit shipped to their home: wine with a sommelier, coffee, tea, bubble tea, a charcuterie board or cocktails. The host leads each pour or step on camera and takes questions. It runs on Zoom by default, or Teams, Google Meet or Webex.

Which virtual tasting is best for a team?

Wine Tasting is the classic pick for an evening slot, with a sommelier leading every pour. Coffee Tasting suits a morning call and a team across time zones. Tea or bubble tea suits a team that doesn't drink. Charcuterie or a cocktail class suits a group that wants to make something, not just sip.

Do guests need to be 21 for a wine or cocktail tasting?

An adult (21+) has to sign for every kit with alcohol. Wine, the cocktail trio and the cocktail duo have non-alcoholic kits for anyone under 21 or anyone who prefers one. Wine can't ship to Delaware, Utah, Mississippi, Rhode Island, South Dakota, Virginia and Arkansas; guests there get a non-alcoholic kit.

Do you have non-alcoholic tasting options?

Yes. Coffee Tasting, Tea Garden & Tasting and Bubble Tea Making have no alcohol in them at all. Wine Tasting, Mixology Cocktail Trio and Mixology Cocktail Duo also come as non-alcoholic kits, so one guest can skip the alcohol inside the same event.

How much does a virtual tasting event cost?

Wine Tasting is $119 a person plus a $379 base fee: $1,807 in total for 12 guests, about $151 a person. Every tasting on this page is a per-person price plus one base fee, with the kit, the host and continental US shipping included; the price table shows totals at 12, 25 and 50 guests. A 50% deposit holds the date, and you can pay by card or invoice.

Can a team outside the US do a virtual tasting?

Yes, with the right kit. Coffee, tea and bubble tea kits ship to Canada and internationally for a per-guest add-on. Wine and charcuterie ship within the continental US only. Cocktail kits outside the continental US go without the alcohol. More on shipping kits to global teams.

How far ahead should we book?

Book about 3 weeks ahead for US addresses and about 5 weeks with guests in Canada or abroad. For a holiday tasting on Fri, Dec 11, 2026, book by Fri, Nov 20, 2026 with everyone in the US, or by Fri, Nov 6, 2026 with guests in Canada or abroad. Branded kits need 4 weeks' notice.

Can we mix tastings in one event?

Yes. A large group can split across two or three tastings at once, each with its own host, booked as one program. Or pair Charcuterie Board Making with Wine Tasting for a food and wine evening.
