Virtual client appreciation events

A virtual client appreciation event is a private, hosted hour your clients join from wherever they are: a sommelier-led wine tasting, a coffee or cocktail class, or a magic show. We ship any kit to each client's address and a live host runs the hour, so your team can simply be guests.

Formats that work for clients

Every one runs on your own private link with a live host, about an hour. Click any card for dates and booking.

Match the format to your guest list

Requests as buyers send them to us, and what we'd book for each.

  • “A private wine tasting for 12 executives across 7 states”Wine Tasting. A sommelier leads; an adult signs for each kit. Guests in states we can't ship wine to get a non-alcoholic kit.
  • “A spirits tasting for a customer roundtable of 20 to 30”Mixology Cocktail Trio. We have no bourbon or whiskey tasting. This kit has a whiskey mini among four spirits, and a host leads three cocktails.
  • “Clients who don't drink, or a morning slot”Coffee Tasting. Alcohol-free. Tea Garden & Tasting is the calmer, afternoon pick.
  • “A food and wine evening for a small client group”Charcuterie Board Making. Book it beside Wine Tasting as one program, so every glass has a board next to it.
  • “Clients in Canada, the UK or further away”Tea Garden & Tasting. Tea and coffee kits ship outside the US for a per-guest add-on. Wine and charcuterie stay in the continental US.
  • “A customer community of 50 or more who have never met”Speed Networking. Guests meet each other one to one. Trivia with a Twist is the team-game version.
  • “One big moment for a client summit or kickoff”The Actual Virtual Magic Show. No kit, no addresses, and every guest gets pulled in. Illusionist is the second show.

By group size

  • Up to about 15: A tasting. Small enough that every client gets a word in.
  • 15 to 50: A cocktail class, trivia or a magic show keeps a bigger room together.
  • 50 and more: Speed networking or a show, or several activities at once as one program.

A big guest list can split across several activities at once through multi-event programs.

How a client hour runs

The host runs the activity. Your team owns the first six minutes and the last ten.

  1. 0:00Doors open · your teamGreet clients by name as they join. Cameras on, no slides.
  2. 0:03A short thank-you · your leaderTwo minutes of real thanks. No roadmap, no pitch.
  3. 0:06The tasting, class or show · your hostThe host runs the activity. Your people take part as guests, mixed in with the clients.
  4. 0:50Open conversation · everyoneThe host hands back. Clients and your team talk over the last pour or the last trick.
  5. 0:57Goodbye · your leaderOne line of thanks and when you'll see them next.

Hosting clients well

  • Invite one of your people for every three or four clients, not the whole account team.
  • Send the date first, then the address form once a client says yes.
  • Wine and cocktails suit an evening slot; coffee suits a morning one.
  • Send the follow-up the next day, and keep it about them.

Client appreciation event questions

What is a virtual client appreciation event?

A private, hosted hour that thanks your clients without a sales pitch: a tasting, a cocktail class, a magic show or a hosted game on a video call. For kit events, each client gets the kit at their own address before the day, and a live host runs the hour.

What are good customer appreciation ideas for clients who work remotely?

Ship a tasting kit and taste it together, book a show your clients can join from anywhere, or host a networking hour where customers meet each other. Pair the event with a gift if you want something that lasts. More in our 30 client appreciation event ideas and client gifts.

Can we run a private wine tasting for executives in different states?

Yes. Wine Tasting is a private session on your own link, led by a sommelier, with a kit shipped to each executive. Wine ships within the continental US except to Delaware, Utah, Mississippi, Rhode Island, South Dakota, Virginia and Arkansas; guests there get a non-alcoholic kit. An adult (21+) signs for every delivery.

Do you offer a bourbon or whiskey tasting?

Not as its own tasting. The closest is Mixology Cocktail Trio: the kit has 50 ml minis of tequila, vodka, whiskey and a liqueur, and a host leads three cocktails. For a tasting led by an expert, Wine Tasting has a sommelier.

How do kits get to our clients' homes?

You get an address form to share, so each client enters their own address, or you send us a list. US addresses are due 14 days before the event and addresses outside the US 4 weeks before. Continental US shipping is included; Alaska, Hawaii, US territories, Canada and international addresses add a per-guest charge where the kit ships there.

Can the kits carry our branding?

Yes. Kits can come in branded packaging, include company swag, or follow a tailored theme. Customization needs at least 4 weeks' notice; send us your idea and budget and we quote it.

How much does a virtual client appreciation event cost?

Wine Tasting is $119 a person plus a $379 base fee: $1,807 in total for 12 guests, about $151 a person, with the kit, the sommelier and continental US shipping included. Shows and hosted games are a package price for the group, shown on each card on this page. A 50% deposit holds the date, and you can pay by card or invoice.

How far ahead should we book?

Kit events: 21 days ahead for US guests, about 5 weeks with anyone abroad, and 4 weeks if you want branded kits. Shows and hosted games with no kit: about 2 weeks.
