Virtual bubble tea class questions
How does a virtual bubble tea class work?
Every guest gets a bubble tea kit at home before the day. On the call, a live instructor takes the team from brewing to assembling two drinks, a brown sugar Assam milk tea with tapioca pearls and a passion fruit jasmine green tea with lychee jelly, and shares some boba history along the way. It runs 60 minutes on Zoom by default, or Teams, Google Meet or Webex.
How much does a virtual bubble tea class cost per person?
Bubble Tea Making is $78 a person plus a $379 base fee: $2,329 in total for 25 guests, about $94 a person. Kits and continental US shipping are included, and a 50% deposit holds the date.
What's in the bubble tea making kit, and what do guests need at home?
Assam black tea leaves, brown sugar syrup and brown sugar tapioca pearls for the milk tea; jasmine green tea leaves, passion fruit syrup and lychee jelly for the fruit tea; plus measuring cups and bubble tea straws. Guests add milk or a non-dairy alternative, a way to boil water (microwave, stovetop or kettle, so no stove is required), 3 small heat-safe bowls and drinking glasses.
Does bubble tea have caffeine?
Yes. The kit uses Assam black tea and jasmine green tea, and both contain caffeine. If someone on your team avoids caffeine, ask us before you book.
Is the bubble tea kit dairy-free or gluten-free?
There is no milk in the kit: guests add their own, so any non-dairy milk works. The kit is gluten-free but not produced in a gluten-free facility. For any other allergy, ask us when you book.
Can bubble tea kits ship to remote employees outside the US?
Continental US shipping is included. Bubble Tea Making also ships to Alaska, Hawaii & US territories (+$75 a guest), Canada (+$60 a guest) and international addresses (+$45 a guest). It is a food kit, so tell us where those guests are when you book and we confirm each address. With guests outside the US, book about 5 weeks ahead. More on shipping kits to global teams.
Is this bubble tea training for cafe staff?
No. It is a one-hour team class, not barista or boba shop staff training. Each guest makes two drinks for themselves at home while a live instructor guides the group.
How far ahead should we book a virtual bubble tea class?
Book at least 21 days ahead. Guests' addresses are due 14 days before the class, and kits are expected at least 3 days before it. For a December class, book in early November.
