When to hold it in 2027

A midweek date, a holiday in Ireland, and a week when US and UK clocks don't match.

  • St. Patrick's Day is always March 17. In 2027 that is a Wednesday.
  • It is a public holiday in Ireland and a bank holiday in Northern Ireland, so colleagues there may be off.
  • With a team in Ireland, hold it on Tuesday, March 16, or ask them first.
  • US clocks go forward on Sunday, March 14, 2027 and UK clocks on Sunday, March 28.
  • In between, New York is four hours behind London, not five. Check your invite times.

A party for people who drink and people who don't

St. Patrick's Day at work doesn't have to be a drinking day. Plan it so a teammate with tea has as much fun.

  • Make a game the main event. Everyone plays, and nobody has to drink to win.
  • Cocktail kits with alcohol go to guests 21 and over, and need an adult signature on delivery.
  • Non-alcoholic cocktail kits are available. Offer both in the invite, side by side.
  • Kits without alcohol can go to other locations for an added shipping fee.
  • Coffee, the plant crafts and every game contain no alcohol at all.
  • Toast with whatever is in your glass. Tea counts.
