When to hold a Mardi Gras party in 2027
The date moves every year with Easter. Here is how 2027 lands.
- Mardi Gras, or Fat Tuesday, is Tuesday, February 9, 2027.
- It falls the day before Ash Wednesday, 47 days before Easter, so it moves every year. Easter 2027 is Sunday, March 28.
- Carnival season starts January 6, so a party in late January still fits the season.
- Ash Wednesday, February 10, 2027, starts Lent. Hold the party on the 9th or before, never after.
- Mardi Gras is a normal workday for most teams. Friday, February 5 is the other easy slot.
