Good to know
- Live hosted on Zoom by default; Microsoft Teams, Google Meet or Webex on request.
- Hybrid team? Office guests decorate together in front of one room screen while remote guests join from home.
- Branded packaging or company swag in the kit needs 4 weeks' notice.
- No decorating experience needed: the host walks through each technique step by step.
Run it as a decorating contest
A cookie or gingerbread house decorating competition takes no extra kit, just a few minutes at the end.
- 1Say it's a contest in the invite, so people plan a design while they wait for the kit.
- 2Pick three categories: most festive, best use of color, and closest copy of the host's demo.
- 3Choose two or three judges who aren't decorating, or let the whole team vote.
- 4Save the last 10 minutes: everyone holds their work up to the camera in gallery view.
- 5Vote in the chat with one emoji per category, or run a quick poll on your call.
- 6Name one winner per category and share the gallery screenshot in your team channel.

Virtual cookie decorating questions
How does a virtual cookie decorating class work?
Every guest gets a decorating kit at home before the day. On the call, a live host walks everyone through it step by step: coloring icing, outlining and flooding, then details and sprinkles. It runs 60 minutes on Zoom by default, or Teams, Google Meet or Webex, and ends with show and tell.
How much does virtual cookie decorating cost per person?
Cookie Decorating is $72 a person plus a $379 base fee: $2,179 in total for 25 guests, about $88 a person. Gingerbread House Decorating is $87 and Hot Chocolate Bomb is $74 a person, with the same base fee. Kits and continental US shipping are included, and a 50% deposit holds the date.
What comes in the cookie decorating kit, and what do we need at home?
Three round sugar cookies, 8 oz of royal or buttercream icing, three gel food colors, three bags of sprinkles and piping bags. Guests add a mixing bowl and a flat tray. The hot chocolate bomb class also needs a microwave or stovetop and a fridge or freezer.
How far in advance do we need to book?
Book at least 21 days ahead. Guests' addresses are due 14 days before the class, and kits are expected at least 3 days before it. December dates fill first, so for a mid-December party, book before Thanksgiving.
Do the kits ship outside the US, to Alaska, Hawaii or Canada?
Continental US shipping is included. All three kits list a per-guest fee for Alaska, Hawaii, US territories, Canada and international addresses, shown in the shipping table on this page. These are food kits, so tell us where those guests are when you book and we confirm delivery to each address. Outside the US, book about 5 weeks ahead.
Can you accommodate allergies, gluten-free or vegan guests?
Ask us about allergies when you book. The full contents of each kit are in the comparison table on this page.
How do we run a gingerbread house decorating contest online?
Book the gingerbread class, announce the contest in the invite and pick three categories. In the last 10 minutes everyone shows their house on camera and the team votes in the chat. The gingerbread house contest guide has themes and a printable scorecard.
Can people who don't want to decorate still join?
Yes. Nobody has to put their cookies on camera, and there is no wrong cookie: a wonky one gets as many votes as a perfect one. Anyone who would rather watch can still chat along and vote in the show and tell.
