A Thursday, 11:30 am to 1:30 pm, 35 guests. A long-lunch party for a team spread across the Triangle: people bring their own lunch, the Durham and RTP people drive over while I‑40 is lighter, and everyone is back at a desk by early afternoon.

The host sets out watercolor paper, pens and paints on the work tables, with easels and canvas boards waiting for the second hour. Lunch goes on its own table, away from the rinse water. You provide water access and trash cans.

People eat the lunch they brought as they go, since a watercolor card is easy to set down between bites. The host guides the techniques for a set of four cards each.

Five minutes to clear lunch and set an easel and a canvas board at every seat.

Plenty of Triangle companies have people in Raleigh, RTP and Durham, all strung along I‑40. Host where most people sit, or pick an office in the middle like RTP or Morrisville, and hold it at lunch, when the drive between them is easiest.
I‑440, the Beltline, and I‑40 through Raleigh back up at the evening rush, and so does the Durham Freeway. A party that ends at 1:30 sends everyone home on a normal commute, and GoTriangle bus riders keep their usual trip.
North Hills mixes offices with shops and restaurants, and its garages and streets get busier through December with holiday shoppers, most of all later in the day. A lunch party there beats the evening crowd.
Food and watercolor can share a room, just not a table. Cover any carpet near the rinse water with a drop cloth, and park finished canvases on a counter or a side table, not on chairs where someone will sit on one.

Our hosts travel to offices and venues in the Raleigh area. Send the address with your date and we confirm coverage for addresses outside the city, like Durham, Cary, Morrisville, RTP or Chapel Hill, when we send your plan.
