A sample two-hour party in Denver

A Tuesday, 1:00 to 3:00 pm, 60 guests. An early-afternoon party: people driving in from the Tech Center or Boulder can join the bingo whenever they arrive, and everyone is back on I‑25 or US 36 well before dark.

  1. Before 1:00

    Bingo cards out, easels waiting

The host sets up the music and the printed bingo cards, and lines easels, canvas boards and aprons along a wall for the second hour. You provide water access and a few trash cans.

  2. 1:00 pm

    Music Bingo

Song clips instead of numbers, from the era you choose when you book, anywhere from the 70s to today. Anyone who arrives late from Boulder grabs a card and plays along.

  3. 2:00 pm

    Cards away, easels in

Five minutes to clear the bingo cards and set an easel and a canvas at every seat.

  4. 2:05 pm

    Canvas Painting

After an hour of bingo noise, the room settles into a guided acrylic painting on 12 x 16 inch canvas boards. Nobody needs to be good at it.

  5. 3:05 pm

    Canvases dry, cars warm up

Paintings dry on a side table until people leave. Anyone headed south on I‑25 or up US 36 is on the road long before the sun goes down.

At 60 guests: Music Bingo $2,200 + Canvas Painting $4,050 = $6,250 at list prices.

Planning a December party in Denver

Whether your team sits Downtown, in RiNo, the Denver Tech Center or up US 36 in Boulder, these are the Denver details that shape a December party.

  1. Snow comes fast, then the sun

A December storm in Denver can drop several inches overnight, and then bright sun often clears the main roads within a day or two. Agree who calls a snow day and by when, and pick a backup date close to the first one.

  2. Dark before five

The sun sets around 4:40 pm in early December, and the drive home on I‑25, I‑225 or C‑470 gets slower and harder once it's dark. A party that ends by 3 or 4 pm sends people home in daylight.

  3. Downtown, the Tech Center or Boulder

Plenty of Denver companies have people Downtown, in the Denver Tech Center along I‑25, and in Boulder, a half hour or more up US 36. Host where most people sit, and point riders to RTD light rail for the Tech Center or the Flatiron Flyer bus from Boulder, checking current service first.

  4. Watch the home-game nights

The Nuggets and the Avalanche share an arena on the edge of LoDo, a short walk from Union Station, and both play plenty of December home games. On a game night, streets and garages nearby fill up, so if your office is close and you want an evening party, check both home schedules first.

Denver holiday party questions

How much does office holiday party entertainment cost in Denver?

Feud Night, Music Bingo, Team Trivia and Blitz-Speed Trivia are $1,750 for up to 50 guests, plus $450 for each additional 50. Canvas Painting is $55 a person plus a $750 base fee. Watercolor Card Decorating is $52 a person plus a $750 base fee. That covers the host, the game and, for the painting formats, every supply. Food, drinks and the room are yours to arrange.

How far ahead should we book a December holiday party in Denver?

Book hosted games at least 2 weeks ahead and painting workshops at least 3 weeks ahead; branding or custom questions need 4 weeks. For Thursday, Dec 17, that means booking games by Dec 3 and painting by Nov 26. If your date is sooner than that, ask us; we confirm what we can run in your plan.

Do you come to offices in Boulder, Broomfield or the Denver Tech Center?

Our hosts travel to offices and venues in the Denver area. Send the address with your date and we confirm coverage for addresses outside the city, like Boulder, Broomfield, Greenwood Village or Englewood, when we send your plan.

Why hold a Denver holiday party in the early afternoon?

The sun sets around 4:40 pm in early December, and the drive on I‑25 or US 36 is slower in the dark and in snow. A 1 to 3 pm party gets everyone home in daylight. If snow falls overnight, an afternoon start also gives the plows and the sun the morning to clear the roads.

What do we need to provide for a party at our office?

A room with tables and chairs, a TV or projector with an HDMI cable for the games, and phones to scan a QR code. The painting formats also need water access and trash cans. We bring the host, the game, the scoring and, for painting, every supply, and we handle setup and cleanup.

What if more people show up than we planned for?

Give us your best headcount estimate; we use it to plan hosts and support. We can take extra guests on the day, and if attendance is well over your estimate we invoice the difference.

Can remote employees join the party?

The in-person formats are built for people in the room. For remote staff, book a virtual holiday party on Zoom (Microsoft Teams, Google Meet or Webex on request) on another day, or run one for the whole company.

Can we add holiday gifts for the team?

Yes. Pair the party with corporate holiday gifts shipped to each person, which also covers anyone who can't make it to the office that day.
