Return to office gifts for employees
The best return to office gift is one thing everyone shares on the first day back: a chocolate tower or a big box on the table when people walk in, with the same gift shipped home to anyone who stays remote. Ours start at $22.
Three kinds of return, three ways to plan the gift
A return to office can mean a team back from a break, a whole company in a new building, or a new set of office days. The gift follows the moment.
Back after a long break
When: The first week of January, after a summer slowdown, or a team back from a long project away.
The gift: One shared gift on the table the first morning, so the day starts with something to talk about.
Tip: In January, have it arrive Monday, January 4, 2027, and set it out on the first day most people are in.
A new office or a move
When: The first day in a new building, a renovated floor or a smaller space after a consolidation.
The gift: A big box in the new kitchen: the first thing people open in the space.
Tip: Ask the building about receiving hours first. A new suite often can't take deliveries until the move is done.
A new in-office schedule
When: The first week of new anchor days, a new set of office days, or teams that start coming in together.
The gift: One shared gift per team on its own first anchor day, so every team gets the same moment.
Tip: If teams come in on different days, split the order by day instead of sending it all on Monday.
Want the first day to be an event, too? Hosts run games like Feud Night, Music Bingo and live trivia at your office in 17 US cities: see in-person team events, or team building for hybrid teams when some people join on video.
How to plan the first day back
Five steps, so the gift is on the table on the right morning and nobody is left out.
Pick the day most people are in. The first anchor day, or the first full day back, not a day half the team is out.
Have it arrive a working day early. Ship to the office, addressed to the office manager or reception, so chocolate never sits on a loading dock.
Count tables, not only people. One shared gift per team area or floor, plus one for a second shift or a satellite office.
Set it out mid-morning with a short note. From the team lead or the office, not from HR policy. Two sentences is plenty.
Ship the same gift home the same week. Everyone who stays remote gets it too, so the gift is about the team, not about where people sit.
For what to say on the day, from a team message to a note for someone back from leave, see welcome back to work messages and ideas.
For anyone who stays remote
Send them the same gift the same week. A return to office gift that only goes to the office reads as a reward for coming in.
- The same gift, shipped to their home in the same week.
- The same note, with "welcome back" swapped for "thanks for being part of the team".
- Remote roles, people on leave and anyone working from another city all count.
- One spreadsheet of names and addresses; each gift ships to its own address.
More for people who work from home on gifts for remote employees.

Welcome back notes that work for everyone
Say you're glad to see people. Leave the policy to the policy email.
- Welcome back. Something sweet for the first morning together.
- Good to see you here. Help yourself, and say hi to someone you haven't met.
- Welcome to the new office. The first box opened in this kitchen is yours.
- Thanks for making the move work. Enjoy the first day in the new space.
- For the remote crew: the office opened one of these today, so we sent you the same.
- New week, new rhythm. Thanks for working it out with us.
Return to office gift questions
What are good return to office gifts for employees?
Something the team shares on the first day back: a chocolate tower or a large box on the table, one per team or floor, with the same gift shipped home to anyone who stays remote. If you'd rather give one each, our smaller boxes start at $22.
What is a good welcome back to the office gift?
One thing on the table when people walk in, opened together mid-morning, with a two-sentence note from the team lead. The Hampton Duo Tower at $82 suits one team; a large box or The Easthampton at $192 suits a floor.
How much should you spend on return to office gifts?
Under $40 a person when everyone gets their own, or $82 to $192 per team area for a shared gift. Keep it the same for everyone in the office and at home.
Should remote employees get a return to office gift?
Yes. Ship them the same gift the same week, with "thanks for being part of the team" in place of "welcome back". A gift that only goes to the office reads as a reward for coming in.
Will a gift get people back in the office?
That isn't its job. Treat it as a welcome for the day, not a reward for attendance, and send the same thing to the people who stay remote.
When should return to office gifts arrive?
A working day before the first day back, at the office, addressed to the office manager or reception. For Monday, January 4, 2027, order by December 21, 2026, or by December 7 for 100 or more gifts or anything with your logo.
What if teams come back on different days?
Split the order by day, so each team finds a shared gift on its own first anchor day. Every team gets the same moment, and nothing sits open in the kitchen all week.
Can you add our logo to return to office gifts?
Branded inserts and other presentation options can be added depending on the gift and order size. Allow 4 to 6 weeks for anything with your logo.
