Team building for logistics companies

Team building for logistics companies works when dispatch, brokerage, the warehouse and drivers all get a turn: a 60 minute hosted game on a break room screen or a phone, run once per shift, with every terminal on one call. Peak runs from Thanksgiving week through December, so most teams book January 2027.

8 activities for dispatch, warehouse and drivers

Games a break room plays from one screen, quick rounds a driver can play on a phone, a winter theme for after peak, and kits for home. Every one has a live host, and prices are live from our catalog.

Hosted games need about 2 weeks; kit workshops about 3 weeks for US addresses. See all activities.

Dispatch, brokerage, warehouse and drivers: four schedules

A logistics company is several teams on several clocks. Plan a slot for each one before you pick a game.

  • Dispatch

A desk that is never empty

Run two sessions so half the desk plays while the other half keeps the loads moving, then swap.
  • Brokerage and sales

    Office hours, busy at month-end

Brokers and account reps keep office hours. A mid-month afternoon works; the last days of the month don't.
  • Warehouse

    A session inside every shift

Book the same game once per shift, early in the shift and paid, so nights get what days get.
  • Drivers

    Home time, not drive time

Drivers join from home on a phone or make a kit with the family. Never from the cab while rolling.

Team building for truck drivers and couriers

Drivers are the people a company event misses most. Five rules that bring them in safely.

A driver on a regional run can't join a 2 pm game at the terminal. Give them a session they can play from the couch on a phone, or a kit they make at the kitchen table with their family. For a transportation company, that is often the only event a driver ever attends.

  • Never while driving. Drivers join from home, or once the truck is parked for the day.
  • A phone is enough. Quiz Showdown players scan a QR code to answer, and cameras can stay off.
  • Two times, not one. Offer a midday and an evening session so local and regional drivers can both make one.
  • A kit for home time. A box ships to each home address, and drivers make it on a weekend with family.
  • Ask, don't require. Driver time is paid by the mile or the hour. Make it optional, or pay for it.

Peak season, then a January event

Late November through December is the busiest stretch of the year for carriers, 3PLs and warehouses. Hold the event after it.

Why January

  • Thanksgiving is Thursday, November 26, 2026, Black Friday is November 27 and Cyber Monday is November 30.
  • From there through Christmas, docks, dispatch and drivers run flat out. Nobody wants a game hour then.
  • Returns keep many warehouses busy into early January, so aim for the second or third week.
  • Book now, while managers still answer email. Kit addresses are easier to collect before peak than during it.

Every terminal and warehouse on one call

A network of hubs can still hold one event. Each site joins from its own break room, and the price grows in small steps.

  • Each terminal plays as a team

Every break room joins the same call on its own screen. The host scores by site, so hub plays hub.
  • Pick the hour every site is on shift

Noon Central is 1 pm Eastern and 10 am Pacific. If no hour fits every site, book two sessions.
  • The office and drivers join on their own

Headquarters plays from desks and drivers from phones, as their own teams or mixed into a site's team.
  • One plan, one invoice

Sessions across sites and shifts are planned as one multi-event program, billed together, by card or invoice.

What it costs. A hosted game is one package for up to 25 people, with added guests in blocks, so 150 people across six sites on one call costs about double one site. A kit is priced per person.

The break room, your warehouse, or home

Three ways logistics teams run it. Everything is seated and off the floor.

  • A game on the break room TV

One laptop joins the call and shows the host on the TV. One person types answers, the room plays as a team. Zoom by default, or Teams, Google Meet or Webex on request.
  • A host at your warehouse

In 17 US cities a host runs Feud Night, Music Bingo or live trivia in your break room or training room, away from the docks. Feud Night is $1,750 for up to 50 guests. See in-person events.
  • A kit at home

A box ships to each home, and people make it together on video. Continental US shipping is included. See team building kits.

What we run

  • Seated hosted games and workshops, about 60 minutes, with a live host.
  • Games in the break room, training room or office, never on the warehouse floor.
  • Kit workshops people make at home, with family if they like.
  • Hosts at your site in 17 US cities.

What we don't

  • Anything near the docks, racking, forklifts or trucks.
  • Outdoor challenges, sports days or physical competitions.
  • Safety or driver training. No event replaces your safety meetings.
  • Anything that needs PPE or a site tour.

Warehouse employee appreciation events for every shift

Appreciation only counts if it reaches the night shift and the drivers too.

  • Every shift

    Same event, all three shifts

A thank-you that only day shift attends tells nights what you think of them. Book one session per shift.
  • Drivers

    Truck Driver Appreciation Week

The American Trucking Associations holds National Truck Driver Appreciation Week in September; in 2026 it ran September 13 to 19 (trucking.org). Check their page for the 2027 dates, then send each driver a kit for home time that week.
  • After peak

    A January thank-you

The best time to thank the whole network is right after peak. Pair the game with appreciation gifts for every site.

Logistics team building questions

What are good team building activities for logistics companies?

Hosted games a shift plays from one break room screen, like trivia or a survey-answer game show, about 60 minutes with a live host. Drivers join from home on a phone or make a kit with their family. Every terminal can join the same call and play as its own team.

How do we include drivers?

Never while driving. Offer a midday and an evening session they can join from home on a phone, or ship a kit to each home address for a weekend session. Make it optional or paid, since driver time is their pay.

When should a logistics company hold its holiday party?

After peak. Peak runs from Thanksgiving week (Thanksgiving is November 26, 2026, Cyber Monday November 30) through Christmas, and returns follow. For Tuesday, January 12, 2027, book a hosted game by December 29, 2026, or a kit workshop by December 22, 2026.

How much does team building cost for a warehouse or terminal?

A hosted virtual game is one package for up to 25 people, with added guests in blocks, so one call for the whole network costs far less per person than one per site. Trivia with a Twist is $975 for up to 25 people and $2,075 for 150 on one call. Kit workshops are a base fee plus a price per kit, with continental US shipping included.

Can a host come to our warehouse?

In 17 US cities a host can run Feud Night, Music Bingo or live trivia in your break room or training room. Feud Night is $1,750 for up to 50 guests. Nothing runs on the warehouse floor; tell us your visitor rules when you book.

Can several warehouses or terminals play together?

Yes. Each site's break room joins the same video call as its own team, headquarters plays from desks, and drivers join on phones. If the sites' shifts don't line up, book two sessions.

Do you run warehouse games or safety activities?

No. Our events are seated hosted games, workshops and kits. Nothing runs on the floor or near equipment, and no event counts as safety or driver training.
