After the close

One event for every branch, desk and office
Finance organizations are spread out by design: branches, desks, operations centers and offices abroad. Here is how each shape fits on one call.
A branch network
Each branch joins from its own back office after closing and plays as one team. Branches across four time zones close hours apart, so start after the East Coast closes or book one session per coast.Front office and operations
Mix traders, advisors, operations and compliance in each team on purpose. The game is the excuse to talk across the floor.Head office in a room, branches on video
Put the head office in one conference room with a big screen and everyone else on their own laptop. The setup is on hybrid team building.Teams in several countries
Pick an hour that works in London and New York, and allow 5 weeks for kits outside the US. See global team building for time zones and shipping.
A whole division? We have run a single 60-minute event for 1,000 registered employees across four parallel activity tracks.

Totals for a branch team, a regional group and a whole division, worked out from live catalog prices.
Hosted games and workshops are a package for the group that grows in steps, so the price per head drops as more people join. Kit workshops are a base fee plus a price for each kit.

Internal team events, client events and gift rules
At most firms, an event for your own people and an event for clients sit under different policies. Know which one you are planning.
Your own team. A team building event for your employees is a staff event. FINRA Rule 3220 states that it does not apply to gifts to a member's own associated persons.
Clients and people at other firms. Rule 3220 limits gifts to a person at another firm, in relation to that person's employer's business, to $300 per individual per year (as amended effective March 30, 2026). A gift given during business entertainment is subject to it. If you send kits to clients, ask compliance how to count them; every activity page shows the per-person price.
Planning for clients? See virtual client appreciation events or client gifts.
General information, not compliance advice. Your firm's policy may be stricter: check with your compliance team.
What procurement usually asks

- A written quote in 24 hours with the date, headcount and full price, ready for your approval chain.
- One vendor for every team. Our enterprise program adds catalog approval, SSO, monthly invoicing and a monthly budget for each team.

Financial services team building questions
What is good team building for financial services teams?
The best team building for financial services fits around the market and the close: a 60-minute hosted event after the 4 p.m. ET close, on one video call every branch and desk can join, paid by card or invoice. Hosted games, kit workshops shipped to each person and short workshops on stress or presenting all fit that slot.
When should a bank schedule team building?
After the market or the branches close, mid-month, and away from quarter-end close. For the 2026 holidays, the weeks of December 7 and December 14 work best, before year-end close on December 31, 2026. A 4:30 p.m. ET start lets the desk join while West Coast staff are still at work.
Can every branch join the same event?
Yes. Everyone joins one video call, on Zoom by default or on Microsoft Teams, Google Meet or Webex on request. In a hosted game each branch can play as a team, and in a kit workshop every person gets their own kit at the address they give us.
Does the FINRA gift rule apply to team building for our own employees?
How much does team building for a finance team cost?
Hosted games are priced as a package for the group, and kit workshops as a base fee plus a price per kit. Trivia with a Twist! is $39 a person for a group of 25 ($975 package). Candle Making is $68 a person plus a $379 base fee. Each card on this page shows its live price, and the table shows totals for 20, 50 and 150 people.
Can we pay by invoice or purchase order?
Yes. Reserve online with a 50% deposit by card, or book with a PO and we send an invoice instead of charging a card. Enterprise customers can use monthly invoicing.
How far ahead should we book?
About 2 weeks for a hosted game and about 3 weeks for a kit workshop to US addresses. With guests in Canada or abroad, book about 5 weeks out, because those addresses are due 4 weeks before the event.
