A sample two-hour party in Nashville

A Friday, 1:30 to 3:30 pm, 25 guests. A Friday wrap-up for the last week before the break: canvases first, then watercolor cards painted for a name drawn from a hat and swapped on the way out, with everyone gone before the weekend crowd hits Lower Broadway.

  1. Before 1:30

Easels up, names in a hat

The host sets out easels, canvas boards and aprons, with watercolor paper, pens and paints ready for the second hour. Someone on your team writes every name on a slip for the swap. You provide water access and trash cans.

  2. 1:30 pm

    Canvas Painting

A guided acrylic painting on a 12 x 16 inch canvas board. No experience needed, and an easy way into a Friday afternoon off the clock.

  3. 2:30 pm

    Draw a name

Canvases move to a drying table, and everyone pulls a slip from the hat while the seats switch to watercolor paper.

  4. 2:35 pm

    Watercolor Card Decorating

A set of four cards with the host guiding the techniques. The best one goes to the person each painter drew, with a note inside.

  5. 3:35 pm

    The swap, then the weekend

Cards change hands on the way out, canvases ride home flat on a back seat, and drivers headed down I‑65 or out I‑24 leave ahead of the worst of the Friday rush.

At 25 guests: Canvas Painting $2,125 + Watercolor Card Decorating $2,050 = $4,175 at list prices.

Planning a December party in Nashville

Whether your team sits Downtown, in the Gulch, Midtown or down in Brentwood and Cool Springs, these are the Nashville details that shape a December party.

  1. Stay off Broadway on a weekend night

Lower Broadway draws big crowds of visitors and holiday groups nearly every weekend, and December is no exception. Garages near it fill up and charge more on busy nights. A Friday-afternoon party at the office wraps up before that crowd builds.

  2. I‑65 to Brentwood and Franklin

Many Nashville companies split staff between the core and offices in Brentwood and Cool Springs, and I‑65 between them crawls at rush hour, as do I‑24 and I‑40 to the east. WeGo Star riders from Wilson County have only a few trains to choose from, so check theirs before you set an end time.

  3. Predators nights downtown

The Predators play at the arena on Broadway, and on a home-game night the streets and garages around it fill well before puck drop. If your office is Downtown or in SoBro, check the home schedule before you pick an evening, or keep the party in the afternoon.

  4. Cold rain, and the odd icy morning

December in Nashville is usually cool and wet rather than snowy, but now and then an ice storm turns roads slick overnight. Agree on a backup date close to the first one, and decide who makes the call the morning of.

Nashville holiday party questions

How much does office holiday party entertainment cost in Nashville?

Canvas Painting is $55 a person plus a $750 base fee. Watercolor Card Decorating is $52 a person plus a $750 base fee. That covers the host and every painting supply. Food, drinks and the room are yours to arrange.

How far ahead should we book a December holiday party in Nashville?

Book painting workshops at least 3 weeks ahead; custom branding needs 4 weeks. For Thursday, Dec 17, that means booking by Nov 26. If your date is sooner than that, ask us; we confirm what we can run in your plan.

Do you come to offices in Franklin, Brentwood or Cool Springs?

Our hosts travel to offices and venues in the Nashville area. Send the address with your date and we confirm coverage for addresses outside the city, like Franklin, Brentwood, Hendersonville or Mt. Juliet, when we send your plan.

Can our Nashville party do a card swap instead of a gift exchange?

Yes. Draw names before the Watercolor Card Decorating hour, and each person paints four cards and gives the best one to the person they drew, with a note inside. Nobody has to shop for a gift, and it costs nothing extra. The host guides the painting; the names in the hat are up to you.

What do we need to provide for a party at our office?

A room with tables and chairs, water access and trash cans. We bring the host and every painting supply, and we handle setup and cleanup.

What if more people show up than we planned for?

Give us your best headcount estimate; we use it to plan hosts and support. We can take extra guests on the day, and if attendance is well over your estimate we invoice the difference.

Can remote employees join the party?

The in-person formats are built for people in the room. For remote staff, book a virtual holiday party on Zoom (Microsoft Teams, Google Meet or Webex on request) on another day, or run one for the whole company.

Can we add holiday gifts for the team?

Yes. Pair the party with corporate holiday gifts shipped to each person, which also covers anyone who can't make it to the office that day.
