A sample two-hour party in Los Angeles

A Thursday, 3:00 to 5:00 pm, 50 guests. A late-afternoon party: people who need to beat traffic leave as it ends, and everyone else stays on and skips the worst of the drive.

  1. Before 3:00

    Easels go up

Canvas boards, easels, aprons and paints set out on your tables. We handle setup and cleanup.

  2. 3:00 pm

    Canvas Painting

A guided painting while the room settles in. Nobody needs to be good at it, and everyone leaves with a canvas.

  3. 4:00 pm

    Brushes down, phones out

Paintings move to a drying table and the screen switches to trivia.

  4. 4:05 pm

    Blitz-Speed Trivia

Every player answers on their own phone, and speed counts. It ends on a high with The Staircase.

  5. 5:05 pm

    One winner, then the 405

Leave right away, or stay for a drink while the freeway clears.

At 50 guests: Canvas Painting $3,500 + Blitz-Speed Trivia $1,750 = $5,250 at list prices.

Planning a December party in Los Angeles

Whether your office is in DTLA, Santa Monica or Burbank, these are the LA details that shape a December party.

  1. Plan around the drive

Most of your team drives, and the evening rush on the 405, the 10 and the 101 starts early. A party that ends around 5 pm, or a lunch party, takes traffic off the table.

  2. Sort parking before invites go out

If guests come from another office or from home, arrange validation or a lot first. It's the first question people ask in LA.

  3. Patio-friendly, with an early sunset

December days are mild, so an office patio can work for the painting formats. But the sun sets before 5 pm and evenings cool off fast, so plan lighting and an indoor room.

  4. Give spread-out teams an anchor day

Teams that live across the Westside, the Valley and the South Bay rarely share a day in the office. Pick the day most people are in, and give remote staff a virtual option.

Los Angeles holiday party questions

How much does office holiday party entertainment cost in Los Angeles?

Feud Night, Music Bingo, Team Trivia and Blitz-Speed Trivia are $1,750 for up to 50 guests, plus $450 for each additional 50. Canvas Painting is $55 a person plus a $750 base fee. Watercolor Card Decorating is $52 a person plus a $750 base fee. That covers the host, the game and, for the painting formats, every supply. Food, drinks and the room are yours to arrange.

How far ahead should we book a December holiday party in Los Angeles?

Book hosted games at least 2 weeks ahead and painting workshops at least 3 weeks ahead; branding or custom questions need 4 weeks. For Thursday, Dec 17, that means booking games by Dec 3 and painting by Nov 26. If your date is sooner than that, ask us; we confirm what we can run in your plan.

Can you set up on an office patio or rooftop in LA?

The painting formats need tables, chairs, water access and trash cans. If your outdoor space has those, and light, since December sunsets come before 5 pm, tell us and we plan around it. Hosted games need a screen everyone can see, which is usually easier indoors.

Do you come to offices outside the City of Los Angeles?

Our hosts travel to offices and venues across the Los Angeles area. Send the address with your date and we confirm coverage when we send your plan.

What do we need to provide for a party at our office?

A room with tables and chairs, a TV or projector with an HDMI cable for the games, and phones to scan a QR code. The painting formats also need water access and trash cans. We bring the host, the game, the scoring and, for painting, every supply, and we handle setup and cleanup.

What if more people show up than we planned for?

Give us your best headcount estimate; we use it to plan hosts and support. We can take extra guests on the day, and if attendance is well over your estimate we invoice the difference.

Can remote employees join the party?

The in-person formats are built for people in the room. For remote staff, book a virtual holiday party on Zoom (Microsoft Teams, Google Meet or Webex on request) on another day, or run one for the whole company.

Can we add holiday gifts for the team?

Yes. Pair the party with corporate holiday gifts shipped to each person, which also covers anyone who can't make it to the office that day.
