Nurse appreciation gifts for the whole unit
The best nurse appreciation gifts reach every shift: one gift per nurse at one budget, plus a box to share in each break room, on the unit before Nurses Week, May 6 to 12, 2027. Our gifts start at $22.
When to order for Nurses Week 2027
National Nurses Week runs Thursday, May 6 to Wednesday, May 12, 2027. Unbranded gifts take about 2 to 3 weeks; logo gifts and big multi-unit orders take 4 to 6.

What gifts for a whole unit cost
One gift for every nurse on the unit, before shipping and branding. Count everyone on the schedule, not just one shift.

|---|---|---|---|
| 20 nurses | $440 | $640 | $720 |

Adding a shared box? One Hampton Duo Tower for each break room is $82, so $164 covers a day shift and a night shift. The tax basics. Under IRS Publication 15-B, a small, occasional non-cash gift from an employer can be a tax-free de minimis benefit, while cash and gift cards never are. This is general information: check with your payroll team.
Getting a gift to every shift
A hospital never closes, so the hard part is not the gift. It is reaching nights, weekends and per diem staff with the same thing days get.
Count nights and weekends first.
Nurses Week 2027 runs Thursday to Wednesday and covers a weekend. Build the list from the full schedule, not from who is on days.
Decide who is on the list.
Staff nurses, charge nurses, CNAs, unit clerks, per diem and travel nurses: settle it up front, so nobody finds out they were left off.
Address it to a person and a unit.
Name, unit, floor and building on every box, so it reaches the floor and not a pile in the mailroom.
Land it early in the week.
Ask for delivery on a Monday or Tuesday, so boxes never sit in receiving over a weekend.
Hand it out at shift change.
Bring the gifts to the huddle at each shift change, or leave each one in a named bag at the desk.
Ship home for part-timers.
Per diem and night staff you rarely see can get theirs at home. Each gift ships to its own address.
Pair the gift with a Nurses Week event
The gift goes home; an hour together is what the unit remembers. A live host runs each one on video, so people join from the break room or from home.

Trivia with a Twist!
Trivia in teams with a live host. Run it once for days and once for nights.

Cookie Decorating
A kit at each home and a host leading the piping. For a unit that wants an evening together off shift.
1 hour
Each card shows the live price. For an event on Thursday, May 6, 2027, book a hosted game by Thu, Apr 22, 2027 and a kit workshop by Thu, Apr 15, 2027 for US addresses, or by Thu, Apr 1, 2027 with anyone in Canada or abroad. Book two sessions, one per shift, so nights are not an afterthought. Times, formats and prices for a whole hospital are on team building for healthcare workers; more on music games, virtual trivia and cookie decorating.
What to write on the card
One line about the work, from the person who sees it. Copy one and make it your unit's.
- Thank you for every shift you covered this year, and for the ones nobody saw.
- Happy Nurses Week. This unit runs on your calm, your humor and your coffee. Thank you.
- To nights: we know you carry the hours the rest of us sleep through. Thank you.
- Thank you for teaching our new grads the way someone once taught you.
Nurse appreciation gift questions
What are good nurse appreciation gifts from a hospital?
Something every nurse on the unit gets, the same for days and nights, that they can enjoy on a break or take home: a chocolate gift box or truffle collection for each person, plus a bigger box or tower to share in each shift's break room. Add a card line from the manager and an hour together during Nurses Week.
When is Nurses Week 2027?
National Nurses Week runs Thursday, May 6 to Wednesday, May 12, 2027. The American Nurses Association sets it at May 6 to 12 every year, ending on Florence Nightingale's birthday.
When should we order nurse appreciation gifts for Nurses Week 2027?
For unbranded gifts delivered to the unit by Monday, May 3, 2027, order by Monday, April 12, and no later than Monday, April 19. Gifts with your hospital's logo, or one big order for many units, need 4 to 6 weeks: order by Monday, March 22, 2027.
How much should we spend per nurse?
There's no standard amount. Pick one budget and give the same gift to everyone on the unit. Our gifts start at $22, so 40 nurses cost $880 at that level before shipping, and a shared box for each break room adds $82 per shift.
Should we give one gift per nurse or one gift for the unit?
Both, if the budget allows: a shared box opened on the first day of Nurses Week, and a gift for each nurse to take home. If you can only do one, give one per nurse; a single box in the break room is often empty before the night shift arrives.
How do we make sure the night shift gets theirs?
Build the list from the full schedule, buy a separate shared box for each shift, and hand out the personal gifts at each shift change huddle or leave them in named bags at the desk. Per diem and night staff you rarely see can get theirs shipped home.
Can gifts ship to nurses' homes instead of the hospital?
Yes. Each gift can ship to its own address, with timing and shipping charges depending on the destination. Collect addresses with an option to pick up at work for anyone who would rather not share one.
Can we add the hospital's logo?
Yes, on custom logo gifts. Branded orders take 4 to 6 weeks and minimums are typically 10 units per product, so order in March for Nurses Week.
Are nurse appreciation gifts from the hospital taxable?
Under IRS Publication 15-B, a small, occasional non-cash gift from an employer can be a tax-free de minimis benefit. Cash and cash equivalents such as gift cards never are, whatever the amount. This is general information, not tax advice: check with your payroll team.
What about allergies?
Every gift on this page is chocolate. Ask the unit about allergies before you order, check each product's ingredient details, and ask us for an alternative for anyone who can't have it.

Thank every nurse on the unit
Tell us how many nurses, which units and shifts, and where the gifts should go, and we'll come back with a gift plan and a quote for Nurses Week.
