Gifts for interns: welcome and end-of-summer gifts
The best gifts for interns are a small treat in week 1 and a bigger thank-you at the send-off, the same for every intern, with a note from their manager. Ours start at $22, shipped to each intern.
A welcome gift in week 1, a send-off at the end of summer
Interns arrive as a cohort and leave as one, so most programs give two gifts: a small one to start and a bigger thank-you to finish. Prices are per gift, before shipping.
Welcome gift in week 1
Waiting at the desk or the door on the first day
- Small and the same for every intern, so nobody compares on day one.
- A note from their manager that names the project they will work on.
- Sent to the office for in-person interns, to the intern's address for remote ones.
Send-off gift at the end of summer
Handed out at the final showcase, or arriving the last week
- A step up from the welcome gift: it thanks them for ten or twelve weeks of work.
- A note that names what they shipped, from the manager and the team.
- Timed for the last week, before interns move out of summer housing.

Budget per intern, for a cohort of 20 to 200
Quogue Luxury Gift Box (X-Small) at $22 to welcome them, The Bridgehampton at $38 to send them off: $60 an intern for both.
| Interns | Welcome at $22 | Send-off at $38 | Both |
|---|---|---|---|
| 20 | $440 | $760 | $1,200 |
| 50 | $1,100 | $1,900 | $3,000 |
| 100 | $2,200 | $3,800 | $6,000 |
| 200 | $4,400 | $7,600 | $12,000 |
List prices before volume pricing, shipping and branding. Minimums are typically 10 units per product, so even a small cohort can order. Count the mentors and managers you want to thank too.
Shipping to dorms, home or the office
Interns often move between campus, home and summer housing. Four rules get every gift to the right door.
Ask for the address on the delivery day.
Campus, home or summer housing: get the one they will be at the week the gift lands.
Office interns: ship to the office.
One delivery, handed out on day one or at the showcase. Each gift can also ship to its own address.
Remote interns: ship to each one.
Each gift is packed and shipped to its own address, in the US and internationally. Timing and regional shipping depend on the destination.
Send-off gifts: before the last day.
Aim for the final week, while every intern is still at the address you have.
Shipping depends on how many addresses and where they are, so it is quoted for your list. More on gifts for remote employees.
The note, and your logo
Interns keep the note longer than the chocolate. Make it name their project.
- A message from the manager or the team can go inside, depending on the gift and order size.
- Printed packaging, branded ribbon and inserts are available where the gift allows.
- Send vector logo files and your brand guidelines for the best result.
- Branding needs 4 to 6 weeks and can raise the minimum order.
A logo insert suits a recruiting program: interns are the people you hope to hire back. See custom logo gifts.

Pair the send-off gift with a send-off event
A kit workshop is a gift and a goodbye in one: a kit ships to every intern and a live host leads about an hour on video. Neither of these has alcohol in it.
- Pick the workshop when the cohort can meet on one call before the last day.
- Pick the gift when interns finish on different dates, or as a thank-you after the event.
- Continental US shipping is included; Canada, Alaska, Hawaii, US territories and international addresses add a charge per kit.
- Book about 3 weeks ahead for US addresses, or about 5 weeks with interns in Canada or abroad.
The full summer plan, from the week 1 welcome to the send-off, is on intern events.

Gifts for interns: questions
What are good gifts for interns?
A small treat in week 1 and a bigger thank-you at the send-off, the same for every intern, each with a note from their manager that names their project. Ours are chocolate gift boxes and truffle collections: the Quogue Luxury Gift Box (X-Small) at $22 and The Bridgehampton at $38 are the usual pair, before shipping.
What is a good end of summer gift for interns?
Something a step up from the welcome gift, handed out at the final showcase or arriving in the last week, with a note that names what the intern shipped. A gift box like The Bridgehampton at $38 or the Quogue Luxury Gift Box (Medium) at $58 suits it. A kit workshop on the last week can be the gift and the goodbye in one.
What is a good welcome gift for interns?
Something small waiting on day one, such as the Quogue Luxury Gift Box (X-Small) at $22 or the Signature Truffle Collection at $32, with a note from their manager. Keep it the same for every intern so nobody compares.
How much should we spend on intern gifts?
There is no standard amount. Pick one amount per moment for the whole cohort. A $22 welcome and a $38 send-off come to $60 an intern: $3,000 for a cohort of 50, before shipping and volume pricing.
Can you ship intern gifts to dorms or home addresses?
Yes. Each gift is packed and shipped to its own address, home or office, in the US and internationally. Interns often move during the summer, so ask for the address they will be at the week the gift lands. Timing and regional shipping charges depend on the destination.
Can we add our logo to intern gifts?
Yes. Printed packaging, branded ribbon and inserts are available where the gift allows, with a message inside. Branding needs 4 to 6 weeks and can raise the minimum order, so order logo gifts when the program dates are set.
When should we order end of summer intern gifts?
About 2 to 3 weeks ahead for smaller unbranded orders, and 4 to 6 weeks for 100 or more gifts or anything branded. For arrival by National Intern Day, Thursday, July 29, 2027, order by Thursday, July 8, 2027 (no later than July 15), or by Thursday, June 17, 2027 for 100 or more or branded gifts (no later than July 1).
What about allergies or interns who don't eat chocolate?
Every gift on this page is chocolate. Ask about allergies on the intern onboarding form, check each product's ingredient details, and ask us for an alternative for anyone who can't have it.

A welcome and a send-off for every intern
Send us your cohort size, program dates and budget, and we will come back with a gift plan and a quote.
