teambuilding.com grew out of Museum Hack, which started in 2013, launched its marketplace as Team Building Hero in 2016 and took its current name in 2020. Today it sells two things side by side: "Originals" that its own team designs and hosts, such as Online Office Games and Virtual Holiday Party, and listings from outside vendors, who can apply to list. It says it charges vendor-direct prices with no markups.
KraftyLab runs every booking itself. Our hosts and partner studios bring the experience; we handle the client, payments, kit fulfillment, shipping, scheduling and event support (that split is spelled out on our partner page). For you that means one planner, one invoice and one company answering for the whole event, whether it is a game show, a candle workshop or a multi-event program with several activities running at once.
Neither model is better in the abstract. A marketplace gives you more choice and faster checkout; a single producer gives you fewer listings and one point of contact who knows your whole program.
Both companies show prices up front, so the math is easy to do yourself.
teambuilding.com prices its Originals per person with a 10-guest minimum. On October 5, 2026, Online Office Games and Virtual Holiday Party each listed $40 a person and Ultimate Game Show $45. So a team of 10 starts at $400 and a team of 25 lands around $1,000 to $1,125, before add-ons like trivia customization, treat boxes or gift boxes.
Most KraftyLab hosted games are one package for up to 25 people, which works out to about $34 a person at full size. The cards below show today's live prices.
For whole organizations, our plans page covers the free team portal and enterprise billing on net terms.
teambuilding.com sells physical items as add-ons: on its Online Office Games listing, a cocktail kit, treat boxes and gift boxes are priced per guest. At KraftyLab the kit is often the event. Our 30+ kit workshops, such as candle making, mixology and wine tasting, ship a box to every participant and a live instructor walks the group through it. We also sell corporate gift boxes on their own, for client thank-yous or year-end gifts without an event.
For teams in the same building, teambuilding.com's coverage is wider: it lists 40+ metros in the US and Canada and arranges partners in Europe and Asia-Pacific on request. Our hosts work on site in 17 US cities, including New York, Chicago, Los Angeles and Washington DC, running Feud Night, Music Bingo, trivia and painting (in-person events).
teambuilding.com is built for self-serve: a four-question quiz recommends 12 activities, and most listings check out online with instant confirmation. Its FAQ says hosts are assigned about two business days before the event from a pool of 75+, and that reduced headcounts are credited, not refunded, up to 72 hours before a virtual event. Read the terms on your listing before you book.
With KraftyLab you can reserve online or send your date and headcount and get a full plan back within 24 hours. Hosted games book two weeks ahead (sooner? ask us), kit events three weeks (three to four for international addresses) and custom questions or branding four weeks. Events run on Zoom by default, with Microsoft Teams, Google Meet or Webex on request; Music Bingo is Zoom only. Reach us by phone or email from our contact page.
Larger companies can add a branded booking portal where team leads book from a catalog you approve, within per-team monthly budgets, and KraftyLab Intelligence post-event pulse surveys, priced per employee.
