These Thanksgiving Jeopardy questions are ready for the week before the holiday: 2 free Jeopardy-style boards with 62 clues and answers, each one checked. Office Thanksgiving is short and work-safe. Friendsgiving is harder, with more history and word origins.

How to host Thanksgiving Jeopardy at work

One host, two or more teams and a shared screen. A board takes about 25 minutes, and the final round about 5, so it fits a lunch break.

  1. Pick a board. Office Thanksgiving is quick and easy for any team. Friendsgiving is harder, with more history and word origins, for a group that likes a challenge.
  2. Make 2 to 6 teams. Three to six people each, mixed across departments. Type the team names into the scoreboard under the board.
  3. Share the board. Open this page on the host's screen and press Full screen, or share the browser tab on your call.
  4. Teams pick, the host reads. The picking team calls a category and a value. Read the clue, show the response, and tap plus or minus for each team that answered.
  5. Play the Daily Double and the Final. One tile per board hides the Daily Double, which the finding team answers alone for a wager. When the board is clear, press Final round: every team bets, then answers in 30 seconds.

On a video call or a hybrid team

  • Buzz in the chat: the first team name to appear gets to answer.
  • Hybrid: put the board on the meeting room screen and share the same tab to the call.
  • Teams in different time zones can play the same board in two sessions and compare winners.

All 62 Thanksgiving Jeopardy questions and answers

Every clue on both boards, by category, with the response phrased as a question. The asterisk marks the Daily Double. The Parade and Football clues skip the one everyone knows (the Lions and Cowboys host a game every Thanksgiving) and dig into parade history instead. Playing on paper or slides? Print the host sheet.

Telling the 1621 story accurately

The 1621 Harvest clues stick to the first-hand account, not later retellings.

  • Edward Winslow's account, printed in London in 1622, describes a three-day harvest gathering at Plymouth, built where the Wampanoag village of Patuxet stood before an epidemic.
  • The Wampanoag leader Ousamequin, known by the title Massasoit, came with about 90 men, who brought five deer.
  • Since 1970, Native people and allies have gathered at Plymouth on Thanksgiving Day for the National Day of Mourning.

Want a quick round with no history at all? Use the Office Thanksgiving board's Food and Harvest Words categories, or switch to the Thanksgiving Family Feud-style board. More ideas are in our Thanksgiving games for work.

Run it with a host

Rather not host it yourself? Our virtual Thanksgiving events run for an hour on your usual video call, with Zoom by default and Teams, Meet or Webex on request. Gratitude Games & Grins mixes a high-energy game night with giving thanks, and switches up the small teams as the games change. Fall Fun & Games runs rounds of autumn-themed challenges. Comfy Cozy Game Shows! plays classic game show formats with a cozy cabin theme, and Fun-Filled Feud is a Family Feud-style show where every team plays at once.

Book about 2 weeks ahead, since the weeks before Thanksgiving are busy. Teams split across time zones can book two sessions. For a hybrid team, put the call on the meeting room screen so the office and remote staff play together.

Thanksgiving Jeopardy FAQ

What are good Thanksgiving Jeopardy categories?

Food, the 1621 harvest, the parade and football, traditions around the US, gratitude and giving, and harvest words. That mix gives food fans, history fans and wordplay fans a category each. Both boards on this page use those six, at two levels of difficulty.

How do you play Thanksgiving Jeopardy at work?

Split the group into two to six teams and share this page on a big screen or your call. Teams take turns picking a category and a value, the host reads the clue, and right answers add points while wrong ones subtract. One game with the final round takes about 30 minutes.

Is there a Thanksgiving Kahoot I can use instead?

This board is host-led: one shared screen, teams answering out loud or in the chat, with no app or sign-up. If you want everyone answering on their own phones, Kahoot-style tools do that well, and our guide to Kahoot alternatives compares them. You can paste these clues into any of them.

Can I play Thanksgiving Jeopardy online for free?

Yes. Both boards are free, need no sign-up and run in any browser. Share your screen on Zoom, Teams or Google Meet and keep score with the plus and minus buttons. Press Print the host answer sheet to save every question and answer as a PDF.

How do you keep first Thanksgiving questions accurate?

Stick to what the sources say. Edward Winslow's account describes a three-day harvest gathering in 1621 where the Wampanoag leader Ousamequin, known as Massasoit, came with about 90 men. Since 1970, Native people and allies have also gathered at Plymouth on Thanksgiving Day for the National Day of Mourning, and the Friendsgiving board includes it.

How many questions do I need for a Thanksgiving Jeopardy game?

Thirty clues, six categories of five, plus one final question make a full board and about 30 minutes of play. This page has two full boards, 62 clues in all, so you can play twice or save one for next year.

Is this the official Jeopardy! game?

No. Jeopardy! is a trademark of Jeopardy Productions, Inc., and KraftyLab isn't affiliated with it. These are original Jeopardy-style boards, and every clue on them was written for this page.
