Sustainability workshop questions
What are sustainability workshops for employees?
Live 60-minute sessions your team joins on a video call: a talk on living with less waste, a hands-on class like upcycling or composting, a zero-waste cooking demo, or a hosted eco trivia game. They work for remote, office and hybrid teams, and nobody needs to be an expert.
How much does a sustainability workshop cost?
Small Actions, Big Impact, How to Lower your Impact on the Planet and Upcycling 101 are $64 a person for a group of 25 ($1,600 flat); Zero Waste Hacks is $38 a person for a group of 25 ($950 flat); Composting is $85 a person plus a $379 base fee; Zero Waste Cooking is $72 a person for a group of 25 ($1,800 flat); Planet Earth Trivia & Games is $39 a person for a group of 25 ($975 package). The talks, upcycling and cooking sessions have one price for the group; the game is priced per block of 25 people; the composting kit is priced per guest plus a base fee. A 50% deposit holds the date.
Talk, hands-on or game: which should we book?
Book a talk when you want practical, everyday habits explained, a hands-on session when you want people to leave with something made or started, and the game when you want energy and mixing across teams. A green team often opens with the game and follows with a talk.
When should we book sustainability team building for Earth Day?
Earth Day is April 22 every year. For Thursday, April 22, 2027, book the composting kit by Thu, Apr 1 and a talk, upcycling, cooking demo or the game by Thu, Apr 8. Book early, ideally in the first quarter, to get the date and time you want. If April 22 falls on a weekend, pick the nearest workday.
Do people need supplies or a kit?
Only the composting workshop ships a kit: a tabletop compost bin with a carbon filter plus starter materials, and guests add a cup of clean water. Upcycling 101 uses everyday household items, the game needs a pen and paper, and the talks and cooking demo need only the video link.
Can the composting kit ship to remote staff outside the US?
Composting ships to the continental US with shipping included and lists a per-guest fee for other addresses: Alaska, Hawaii & US territories +$75 a guest, Canada +$60 a guest, International +$45 a guest. Addresses are due 14 days before the event. With guests outside the US, book about 5 weeks ahead to allow for customs and delivery.
Does it work for hybrid teams and teams across time zones?
Yes. For a hybrid group, put the office in front of one screen where they can see and hear the host, and test the link beforehand. For a team split across time zones, book two sessions so everyone joins in their own workday. The game needs breakout rooms and chat on your call.
Can a session be tailored to our sustainability goals?
Planet Earth Trivia & Games can be customized with new questions, your goals and custom backgrounds, and some requests add a cost. For a talk, tell us your goals when you book and we'll check with the speaker what fits. Want the questions without a host? Try our free Earth Day trivia.
