What to settle before you send a wine tasting invite

  1. Which states are out? Every wine company has a no-ship list, and the lists differ. Match it to your guest list first.

  2. Bottles or samples? Full bottles, mini bottles and glass-sized samples all get called a kit. Ask which.

  3. Who signs at the door? An adult 21+ signs for wine, so a guest who is never home may want it sent to the office.

  4. What do non-drinkers get? Some companies offer a non-alcoholic kit; others offer none, so those guests watch.

  5. Is the price for your headcount? Get the total for your real number of guests, with shipping, before you send the invite.

  6. Can it sit inside a client meeting? For execs or a client roundtable, ask whether the host joins your own meeting link and fits your agenda.
