Christmas song title1 of 10

🔔🔔🪨

Teams write their guess down, then you reveal it.

A Christmas emoji quiz shows a song, movie, tradition or holiday food as a short row of emoji, and teams guess what it is. One round of ten takes about 10 minutes for teams of four to six. Every song clue is a title, never lyrics, so it works for the whole office, including people who don’t celebrate Christmas.

How to run a Christmas emoji quiz at work

You need a screen, the player above and something to write on. No prep beyond that.

  1. Make teams of four to six. Smaller teams talk more. On a call with 20 people, that's four or five teams.
  2. Give each clue about a minute. A round of ten runs about 10 minutes with answers, so two rounds fill a 20-minute slot.
  3. Score one point per title. Give half a point for close, like Home Alone 2 for Home Alone. The host's call is final.
  4. Read the answers after each round. The notes under each answer are where the groans happen. Then post the scores and play the next round.
  • In the office: put the player on the big screen and give each table a sheet of paper. Teams write, the host reveals.
  • Hybrid: share the player on the call and on the room screen. Make the remote people their own team so they aren't talking over the room.
  • On video: share your screen and have each team send its answer to the host in a private chat, or give each team a breakout room for 60 seconds per clue.

How to play Christmas emoji pictionary

Flip the quiz around: players build the clues and everyone else guesses. It works best in a group chat on a video call.

  1. Deal one title per player. Send each person a title from the list below in a private chat, or let them pick their own.
  2. Build it in five emoji or fewer. No letters, no numbers that spell words. Players post their clue in the group chat one at a time.
  3. First right guess scores. The guesser and the builder each get a point, so a clear clue pays off.

Twelve titles to deal out, none of them used in the quiz above:

  • Jingle Bells
  • Winter Wonderland
  • Feliz Navidad
  • Here Comes Santa Claus
  • Jingle All the Way
  • Arthur Christmas
  • Four Christmases
  • Scrooged
  • Building a snowman
  • Ice skating
  • Wrapping presents
  • Hanging the lights

Christmas emoji quiz FAQ

What is a Christmas emoji quiz?

A Christmas emoji quiz shows a song, movie, tradition or holiday food as a short row of emoji, and players guess what it is. Teams of four to six write their guesses, then the host reveals the answer. It works on a shared screen, a printed sheet or a group chat.

How many emoji puzzles do I need for an office party?

Plan on one round of ten puzzles for every 10 minutes. Two rounds make a good 20-minute game at a party; one round makes a warm-up at the start of a meeting. Save the hard round for a tiebreak.

How do you play Christmas emoji pictionary on Zoom or Teams?

Send each player a song or movie title in a private chat. They build it in five emoji or fewer and post it in the group chat, and the first right guess wins a point for the guesser and the builder.

Can I print this Christmas emoji quiz?

Yes. Print the page for the puzzle rounds. The answers sit in closed boxes under each round, so open them only on the host's copy before printing it.

Are any song lyrics needed?

No. Every song puzzle is a title, and the notes give the singer and year, so nobody has to remember the words.

Can someone host a Christmas quiz for our team?

Yes. KraftyLab books live-hosted Christmas games on Zoom, Teams, Google Meet or Webex, with the rounds, slides and scoring done. Christmas Trivia Party mixes movie, music and picture rounds. Hosted games book about 2 weeks ahead, and a free quote comes back with a full plan within 24 hours.
